Viking International School is newly established international school in Copenhagen, Denmark (DK) offering international education in English. We are opening our doors to children in greater Copenhagen (Ballerup) in August 2020.
We are an approved international school in Copenhagen, Denmark (DK) by Ministry of Children and Education Denmark.
Our experienced international teaching team at Viking International School will provide inquiry-based education with English as the language of instruction. Besides we will focus on learning Danish language as a true second language from an early age.
Our core program is based on the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). VIS is a member school of the global community of schools following International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
At Viking, we will also use focus on developing key skills including problem solving, creativity, critical analysis, teamwork, independent thinking, initiative, communication and digital literacy through STEM based learning which is an approach to learning and development that integrates the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We believe education is a combined effort of parents, students, teachers, and the community working together, and we consider parents as partners in our teaching process and aim to actively involve parents in your children’s development as well as school activities/ events.
In our first year (2020-21) we will offer a full-day academic program for students from Reception to Year 2 with optional before and after-school care for students.
In our second year (2021) we will expand our school and accept children up to 9 years old. The primary section in Viking International School Copenhagen Denmark (DK) will expand every year and eventually we will start the secondary section.
Although we plan to continue to grow every year, we aim to offer individual support and care for our students and rich extracurricular and sports programs in a stimulating, international school environment.
