Viking International School is newly established primary international school offering international education in English. We are opening our doors to children aged 5-8 for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 in Ballerup (Denmark) in August 2020.
Our experienced international teaching team at Viking International School will provide inquiry-based education with English as the language of instruction. Besides we will focus on learning Danish language as a true second language from an early age.
Our core program is based on the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
At Viking, we will also use focus on developing key skills including problem solving, creativity, critical analysis, teamwork, independent thinking, initiative, communication and digital literacy through STEM based learning which is an approach to learning and development that integrates the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We believe education is a combined effort of parents, students, teachers, and the community working together, and we consider parents as partners in our teaching process and aim to actively involve parents in your children’s development as well as school activities/ events.
In our first year (2020-21) we will offer a full-day academic program for students from Reception to Year 2 with optional before and after-school care for students.
In our second year (2021) we will expand our school and accept children up to 9 years old.
Although we plan to continue to grow every year, we aim to offer individual support and care for our students and rich extracurricular and sports programs in a stimulating, international school environment.
